Why is it wrong to critiscise someone like Katie Price?

Surely its just as wrong to idolize celebrities especially when they've done nothing worthwhile. If people like Katie Price who love to dwell in the limelight and could so easily fade into obscurity get a hard time in the press then surely they've only got themselves to blame!
