I had an injection of Novocaine 2 weeks ago and it has not wore off yet.?

Had a root c done and dentist injected the front area and back, this was 2 weeks ago today. The Novocaine affects have not wore off yet, still numb. I had awful burning feelings on my lower lip. Will this numbness ever wore off?
