Why are people completely OK with capitalism when life is so meaningless?

For the most part, unless you own the means of production, you work for someone else, going about your menial day-to-day tasks with little decision making process in the company, awaiting your pay cheque so you can buy a bunch of **** that above survival goods can occupy your time. Everyone just cares about profit, and you see all these advertisements that manipulate you into thinking you need the product, so we just become a consumerist society where our conversations are so wrapped around our trivial routines and material possessions! We think success is defined by reaching the top of the corporate ladder, having a "respectable" position, and having a bunch of stuff! We think our lives are so important (LOL) and going to the store and buying food and going to work and coming home and watching TV and having dinner and hanging out with our friends talking about our stupid lives and events and activities and doing the SAME thing every day is meaningful!
