Does he really care about me?

Well, idk how to feel about my bf riqht now.. we have been qoinq out on n off since september of 09 and we qet alonq qreat and he makes me lauqh/smile etc all that qud stuff wen we're toqether.. but sometimes he doesnt hit me up for days at a time and then every time we have ever broken up he would qet all mad and call me a b**** or a h** or a s***, and then he'd come bacc to say he loves me.. idk i care about him alot and want to be with him, but i have a feelinq he doesnt care about me the way i do him.. mayb he just wants me cuz of my body.. [he always says ur so y/hot but never beautiful] what should i do? and am i just overreacting? i just dont want to stay with him and eventually fall in love with him if he doesnt even care about me..
