Are there bad effects to studying serial killers & macres? Is something wrong with me, 10 pts for B/A?

I've always been a little interested in tragedies. I DON'T support any of it. But when I first heard about Titanic I became obsessed and would spend hours researching it, along with the holocaust, Columbine, Virginia Tech, genocide in Rwanda, etc. I also like to do research on infamous killers. Once again, I have no sympathy for the killers and don't agree with anything they do and have never had a desire to be violent or do anything to anyone. I'm just wondering, since I'm so intrigued by these tragic events, is something wrong with me? Or if I continue to research them could I develop some type of anti-social or psychopathic behavior?
