What kind of makeup could I use to enhance scars?

Basically, I'm working on a project in which I need to make scars look more visible so I know where to edit in Photoshop. (I'm going to be making the photo black and white with the scars being the only spots of color.) The kind of makeup I'm thinking of, I saw used in behind the scenes bit for Queen of the Damned. It was some sort of makeup they used to fill in the fake bite wounds applied to Aaliyah so they would actually show up on the camera and look realistic. I can't think of what that type of makeup would be called. Anyone on here know? OR, conversely, any suggestions as to what I could use provided I couldn't afford anything like that in order to make this work?
