Is photoshop hard to do?

like i want to edit photos like my friends cuz i think its really cool. i dont have an expensive camera tho...... but i wanted to see if its hard to lear? shud i even try or wud it b a waste of time cuz its to hard to learn? and wud i have to get more stuff for my computer than the software to download to my computer? just any info about it would help. thanks!!
